e purchase all grades of standing timber. Higher grade timber is used for sawlogs, whilst low grade thinnings are processed for woodfuel, be it biomass woodchip or logs. Sweet chestnut coppice cut on rotation may be used for fencing, with shorter rotation cuts used for palings, and longer rotation cuts used as post and rail fencing.
We fell timber
We can contract fell timber to your specification. Hand cutting is carried out where most suitable, though full mechanisation of operations may be more economical where on a larger scale, and where conditions allow.
We have experience working on sensitive sites, and are able to utilise specialist machinery where required to minimise damage to local flora and fauna. We also can deal with felling licences and relevant permissions tailored to the required specification.

We offer processing of timber to your specifications, such as logged woodfuel, billets or screened woodchip for biomass. Both green and seasoned fuels are available.
